Driven by a passion for excellence and economic and social growth and development SAFRI promotes responsible, multi-dimensional and win-win partnership relations between the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and Germany, thereby unlocking the potential of each partner.

Goals and Objectives - Promoting Economic Development
- To promote the transfer of skills and experience from Germany to the SADC region.
- To draw attention to and to focus the German economy’s attention on the business opportunities for private sector investment in the SADC region.
- To consolidate and to develop on the positive changes that have taken place in recent years in the political, social and economic sectors in the SADC region.
