Driven by a passion for excellence and economic and social growth and development  SAFRI promotes responsible, multi-dimensional and win-win partnership relations between the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and Germany, thereby unlocking the potential of each partner.

• Stakeholder and lobbyist for German companies in the SADC markets.
• Mediator between business and politics in Germany and the SADC region.
• A central point of contact between the private sector in Germany and the private sector in the SADC region.

Goals and Objectives - Promoting Economic Development

• To promote the transfer of skills and experience from Germany to the SADC region.

• To draw attention to and to focus the German economy’s attention on the business opportunities for private sector investment in the SADC region.

• To consolidate and to develop on the positive changes that have taken place in recent years in the political, social and economic sectors in the SADC region.
