As business in Southern Africa expands, so there is a growing need for trained and qualified management personnel. The Students Experience Programme (STEP) is dedicated to preparing high-potential young people from SADC countries to excel in their professions and become future managers in their home countries.

The six-month internship with Daimler AG and other companies in Germany gives the participants an opportunity to broaden their knowledge and skills and acquire specific competencies for their professional career.

What is more, experience of German business life, knowledge of the German language, insights into the culture and mentality of the host country and personal memories and friendships create the best basis on which to establish future business contacts between Germany and Southern Africa. Because people are also what make the business world go round.
