In order to initiate and strengthen business contacts, the Afrika-Verein, in cooperation with SAFRI, created one of the first virtual business platforms in Germany. The platform gives German entrepreneurs the opportunity to present themselves if they wish to offer products on African markets or manufacture them locally. In return, African entrepreneurs can also find contacts in Germany. Today it is part of the Internet business platform www.etrade-center.de which is supported by the German Chambers of Industry and Foreign Trade and the German Office for Foreign Trade (bfai). The platform currently has approximately 8,000 registered German and foreign companies.

The E-Trade-Center is complemented by the services provided by the foreign trade portal www.ixpos.de. IXPOS guides interested entrepreneurs through the tools, services and information provided by the various governmental and semi-independent players in Germany.
